Some of My Favourite Youtube channels

The thing that has made YouTube so successful is that you can relate to the people you're watching to a much higher degree than to the people you see on TV. ~PewDiePie

Youtube has become one of my main sources of entertainment. Where some people may love tv I love youtube and watch it practically every day. There are many different reasons I watch youtube other than entertainment, such as to educate myself on certain topics.

Over time I have become attached to certain YouTuber's. Their content never fails to brighten up my day or cheer me up when I am down-which if I am honest is more times than I can count. I find that I have become invested in each and every one of the lives of the YouTuber's I follow and find myself excited to see what new things have begun to happen in their life since the last time they posted, whenever a new video is released.

With that being said here are a few of the YouTuber's that I watch on a regular basis who have really inspired me and have similar lifestyles to what I someday hope to achieve.

If any of these YouTube stars sound interesting to you just click on the names of the channel and it will direct you to their YouTube page.

I enjoy this channel for so many reasons! Firstly this channel is about an interracial family. Lilly is from South Korea and her husband is from Kenya. They are trying to raise their children multilingual. the girls already speak Korean and English and Lily is trying to get her husband to teach the girls Swahili and I am assuming eventually Luo. Lily speaks only Korean to the girls. I love that they are raising multilingual kids as they are giving them lots of opportunities in life that way. I am also happy to see someone else who raises their children multilingual as that Is how I want to raise my future children.

This is another interracial family just like Lilly Petals World, but flipped-the mum is black and the dad Asian. They too are raising their kids bilingual They have enrolled the older kids in Korean classes and the two youngest-not including the baby of the family currently attend a Korean kindergarten. Appa (dad/daddy) spends the time to teach the kids Korean as well as speaks to the younger three in Korean. Let's just say I have been learning lots of Korean from both the Mazelee's and Lilly petals World.

Yes, you guessed it. The owner of this channel is the sister of Alena Maze from Mazelee channel. I love her channel for the fact that she raises her children with deep acknowledgement of their African roots, talks about topics related to the problems blacks face in today's society and of course for the fact that she sews. She even sews her children's wardrobe which is something I plan to do for all my children when I do have them.

This channel follows a family with a special needs little girl. They show how they care for her and how their everyday lives play out. They also have a young son. They are currently working on building their own house which has gotten me even more interested in following their progress. Who doesn't want to build their own home?

This channel is about a family of 6 who shows us their journey with adoption and homeschooling. As most of you may not know I plan to be a homeschooler when I have children and I love to watch and follow people who venture into homeschooling. I forgot to mention that Mazelee also homeschools their older children as well as Akeeba Maze.

I love everything about this family, from their intro song to their family dynamic. the way they raise their children-hands on, ensuring they are well rounded and giving them lots of love and attention really captured my interest from the first video I watched-Thanks Sarah for introducing me to their channel.

Despite the recent controversy surrounding this family I have to say I absolutely adore them. I love the way they are raising their children making them aware of so many different issues in society, from special needs to different careers. I just love that they are raising their children with an hyper-awareness of self.

Most of us know the wonderful Domo Wilson. I've been following her for a while but let us be honest, youtube- Vloggers- have only recently been a significance in my life. I have only been actively using youtube for things other than music, lectures and tutorials, for maybe three years now- if that long. I love Domo's channel for many reasons.

  1. Her energy

  2. Her Music

  3. Her Self-acceptance

  4. and of course Baby Domo (We all know I love babies)

Over the past few years, I have become obsessed with the concept of tiny homes and shipping container homes. I find them to be highly innovative not to mention I love the idea of designing and building my own little space. This channel showcases different styles of tiny houses all around the world.

For the same reason as to why I love the Living Big In A Tiny House channel, is the same reason why I have recently fallen in love with Life Uncontained. This channel follows a young couple who are building their first home out of shipping containers. They currently live mostly off-grid in a converted barn on property owned by the family. They are building their new home single-handedly learning new skills as they go.
